England senior team manager, Gareth Southgate states his position regarding links to Manchester United job.

Manchester United may be considering a change in their managerial position for the next season, given the uncertainties surrounding Erik ten Hag’s tenure.

Ten Hag, currently in his second year with the club, hasn’t managed to capitalize on the initial success of his first season at Old Trafford.

This underperformance comes at a critical time when Manchester United risks missing out on Champions League qualification, further complicated by Sir Jim Ratcliffe stepping in to oversee the club’s football operations.

This backdrop has cast doubts on Ten Hag’s continuation with the team, positioning Gareth Southgate as a prime candidate for the managerial role.

However, Southgate, whose future as the England national team manager post-Euros is also in question, has since distanced himself from the possibility of taking up the managerial role at Manchester United, leaving the club’s search for a potential new manager filled with speculation and uncertainty.

Gareth Southgate’s response on Manchester United links.

“There are two things from my point of view. One is I’m the England manager. I’ve got one job basically, to try to deliver a European Championship and the second thing is Manchester United have a manager. I think it is always completely disrespectful when there is a manager in place. I don’t have any time for that sort of thing.”

Ratcliffe and Manchester United might explore alternative options as they strive to propel the club forward and restore their status as consistent contenders.

Since 2017, the Red Devils have only secured one trophy, underscoring the need for a significant shift.

Several esteemed tacticians are being considered as potential candidates to lead United back to the summit.

Among the names on Ratcliffe’s radar are Graham Potter, Thomas Tuchel, Roberto De Zerbi, Zinedine Zidane, and Ruben Amorim.

Each of these coaches brings a unique blend of tactical acumen and managerial prowess, offering hope for a resurgence at Old Trafford.

The selection process will undoubtedly be meticulous, with the aim of identifying the individual best suited to revitalize Manchester United’s fortunes and instill a winning mentality within the squad.
