Chelsea has initiated contact with Sam Jewell, head of recruitment at Brighton & Hove Albion, as per a report by Sam Wallace from The Telegraph.

Todd Boehly, co-owner and chairman of Chelsea FC, seeks to fill a global scouting position for Chelsea and their partner club Strasbourg. Considering the wonderful job Sam Jewell has done at Brighton, his name is highly considered for the job.

Jewell, in his role at Brighton since November 2022, is being pursued by Chelsea to prevent a potential move to Manchester United with Dan Ashworth who is set to be appointed the new sporting director at Manchester United by the new stake owners , INEOS group.

The new offer entails a global scouting role for Chelsea FC and FC Strasbourg where he will be negotiating for both clubs . If the deal goes through, Sam Jewell will join the likes of former Brighton Coach Graham Potter, Paul Winstanley who’s the current sporting director at Chelsea and Moises Caicedo from the south coast side  to the West London side which is fast becoming a trend of Chelsea recruiting from Brighton accross various departments.
