Newcastle United has secured two significant commercial deals totaling over £42 million per season.

The club has inked a multi-year kit manufacturing deal with German sportswear giant Adidas, set to commence in the 2024-25 season.

This partnership is a substantial upgrade from their previous £5 million annual deal with Castore, as the new agreement will bring in £30 million per season.

On Friday, June 7, Newcastle launched their new home and training kits under the Adidas brand, marking the start of this lucrative collaboration.

Additionally, the club announced a multi-year partnership with UK-based retailer JD Sports on Tuesday, June 4, establishing them as Newcastle’s official sports retail partner.

Sources indicate that the Adidas deal includes a base fee of £30 million per season, with an estimated £12 million in commission from shirt sales. Although the club will only earn a small commission percentage—around six to eight percent—from each sale, the overall financial impact is significant.

These agreements are expected to boost Newcastle’s commercial and retail revenue significantly. Since their takeover in 2021, Newcastle has already seen a notable increase in off-pitch income, with commercial revenue rising from £26.5 million in the 2021-22 season to £43.9 million in the 2022-23 season.

The new deals with Adidas and JD Sports are set to continue this upward trajectory, enhancing the club’s financial stability and market presence.

The enhanced revenue from these partnerships will be reflected in the club’s 2023-24 accounts, marking a new era of commercial success for Newcastle United.

As the club prepares for the upcoming season, these strategic deals highlight their growing influence and ambition in the football world.
