Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce, known for his prowess on the football field and his high-profile relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift, showcased his athletic versatility by winning a home run derby at a charity softball event hosted by Browns’ tight end David Njoku.
The event took place at Classic Park, home to the minor league Lake County Captains.
Kelce, a Cleveland native, arrived just as the festivities were beginning. Greeting fans and mingling with fellow NFL players, including Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and quarterback Deshaun Watson, Kelce exuded a relaxed confidence. Despite his focus on football, Kelce’s baseball skills, honed during his high school years, were on full display.

The three-time Super Bowl champion has developed a strong bond with Njoku, with the two frequently participating in offseason activities, including Kelce’s annual Tight End University.
Njoku praised Kelce’s character, describing him as “one of the purest human beings” he’s ever met. Kelce’s commitment to his hometown team, the Cleveland Guardians, remains unwavering despite his high-profile career and off-field ventures.
Last year, Kelce endeared himself to fans with a ceremonial first pitch that humorously went awry.
Kelce’s offseason has been eventful. Besides the charity event, he participated in the Chiefs’ organized team activities and attended a White House visit, where President Joe Biden honored the Super Bowl champions.
