Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie is seeking a move away from Ibrox during the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Record.

Manager Philippe Clement has been actively restructuring the squad, leading to the departure of several senior players. McCrorie, who has only made seven senior appearances for Rangers, feels it’s time to secure regular playing time elsewhere.

At 26, McCrorie has spent time on loan at various clubs but remains a backup at Rangers, where Jack Butland is the established first-choice goalkeeper. This lack of opportunities has pushed McCrorie to seek a club where he can play more frequently.

Rangers are open to letting him leave if a suitable offer comes in, as they are already looking to bring in another goalkeeper to compete with Butland.

Motherwell’s Liam Kelly has emerged as a prime target for Rangers. Currently with the Scottish national team at the 2024 Euro Championships, Kelly is expected to join Rangers post-tournament. Having come through Rangers’ youth system but never breaking into the senior team, Kelly now has a chance to return and prove his worth. His extensive experience makes him a promising acquisition, likely on a free transfer.

Kelly’s arrival would clear the way for McCrorie’s departure, while Rangers plan to secure highly-rated academy goalkeeper Mason Munn with a new four-year deal, positioning the Northern Irishman as a potential third-choice keeper for the first team.
