Bayern Munich’s acquisition of Michael Olise (22) is progressing swiftly.

Kicker reports that the French player will soon undergo a medical examination and is expected to sign a five-year contract extending to 2029.

Olise’s decision to join Bayern Munich comes after rejecting interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Newcastle United due to financial constraints.

Reports indicate that Olise has a release clause valued at approximately €60 million, including bonuses, although the specifics are unclear. Some sources suggest the clause is applicable to clubs competing in the Champions League, potentially favoring Bayern Munich. However, other reports claim the release clause is not exclusive to Champions League teams.

Born in London, Olise holds French citizenship and has represented France at the youth level. He is also part of the French Olympic team under coach Thierry Henry.

Last season, Olise missed 18 games due to injury but concluded the Premier League season with impressive stats: 10 goals and six assists in 19 games under the management of Roy Hodgson and later Oliver Glasner.

With Bayern Munich now leading the race for his signature, Olise’s move appears imminent, marking a significant step in the club’s summer transfer activities.
