As the transfer window heats up, Chelsea is actively pursuing new talent to bolster their squad.

Having already secured Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa, the club has spent over £1 billion on signings since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took ownership in 2022.

With plans to further strengthen Enzo Maresca’s team, Chelsea is also mindful of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations. Consequently, they may need to offload some players. Reports suggest that Chelsea is contemplating a player-plus-cash deal involving one of their current forwards.

According to The Sun, Chelsea is considering including Nicolas Jackson in a bid for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. The Swedish forward, who netted 25 goals in 40 appearances last season, has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Arsenal.

Newcastle values Isak at over £100 million, prompting Chelsea to think creatively about their offer.

Including Jackson in the deal could potentially reduce the cash component required. Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal last year, impressed during his debut season with 17 goals and six assists in 44 matches. Although contracted until 2031 and considered a valuable asset, he might be part of the proposal for Isak.

This potential move underscores Chelsea’s ambition in the transfer market as they seek to secure top talent while balancing financial regulations.
