Ten players will officially leave Everton as the football year ends, with Andre Gomes headlining the departures.

The Portuguese midfielder concludes a six-year tenure at the club, where he made 100 Premier League appearances. Initially joining on loan from Barcelona, Gomes later signed a £22 million permanent deal.

Despite a severe ankle injury in 2019, he managed a comeback under manager Sean Dyche last season, contributing significantly in matches, including a key FA Cup win against Crystal Palace.

Gomes expressed gratitude to Everton fans, describing the club as “family” and praising their passion and resilience. His heartfelt message highlighted the shared highs and lows, emphasizing the community spirit among supporters.

Other notable exits include veteran goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, who joins Wigan Athletic as a player-coach. Lonergan, though without a competitive appearance, played a vital role in the goalkeeping unit supporting Jordan Pickford.

Midfielder Lewis Warrington, who recently debuted against Sheffield United, also departs, alongside academy prospects Mackenzie Hunt, Katia Kouyate, Kyle John, Ed Jones, Dylan Graham, Sebastian Jensen, and Danny Maher.

While these players move on, Dele Alli remains at Everton to continue his injury rehabilitation. Sharing training footage online, Dele is committed to returning to form, while Sean McAllister and Liam Higgins will also stay at Finch Farm.
