Leicester City is actively seeking to bolster its midfield following the departure of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea.

Dewsbury-Hall’s move to the Premier League giants has left a significant gap in Leicester’s lineup, prompting manager Steve Cooper to swiftly identify potential replacements.

Dewsbury-Hall’s exit is a substantial loss for the Foxes. The midfielder was instrumental last season, netting 12 goals in the Championship. His desire to reunite with former Leicester boss Enzo Maresca at Chelsea was a key factor in his decision to leave.

In response, Leicester has already made significant moves in the transfer market. Bobby De Cordova-Reid, known for his Premier League experience, has joined the club, and Serie A star Caleb Okoli is nearing a move to the King Power Stadium for over £12 million.

Additionally, Leicester City is reportedly considering a move for former Coventry City midfielder Callum O’Hare.

O’Hare, who was released by Coventry after a productive season, has been on Leicester’s radar since January. The 26-year-old midfielder impressed last season, contributing nine goals in 31 matches. His performance earned high praise from Coventry City manager Mark Robins, who described O’Hare as “incredible for the football club.”

O’Hare’s potential move to Leicester is seen as a strategic replacement for Dewsbury-Hall. Though typically playing in a more advanced role, O’Hare’s versatility could allow him to thrive in Cooper’s system. With Wilfred Ndidi and Harry Winks providing stability in midfield, O’Hare could be given the freedom to create and drive the team’s offensive play.

If the deal goes through, O’Hare would join Leicester on a free transfer, making him a valuable addition with minimal financial outlay. His Championship pedigree suggests he could effectively transition to the Premier League, filling the void left by Dewsbury-Hall.

Steve Cooper’s quick actions in the transfer market demonstrate Leicester City’s ambition to strengthen their squad and maintain competitive edge in the Premier League.
