Bryan King, a former Goodison Park scout, has recommended Hull City forward Jaden Philogene to choose Everton over other interested clubs.

Philogene is currently at the center of a transfer tug-of-war involving Everton, Ipswich Town, and Crystal Palace, all of which have reached an agreement with Hull City for the player’s transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old is expected to make a decision on his future soon.

King, in an exclusive interview with Goodison News, emphasized that Everton would be an ideal destination for Philogene. He acknowledged Crystal Palace’s impressive performance last season, which could be appealing to the young forward, and noted that playing for Palace might increase Philogene’s chances of being considered for the England national team. Nonetheless, King believes Everton offers the most favorable prospects.

King said:”I think Everton would be a favourable destination without a doubt. Although with the way Crystal Palace played last season, they must be of interest. I think he is very lucky to have three decent clubs to pick between. Palace have some England internationals, that will be something for Philogene to consider. Playing for the Eagles clearly doesn’t hurt your chances of featuring for the Three Lions. However, if I were him I would pick Everton, and that is what I would advise him to do.”

Philogene faces a challenging decision. Ipswich Town’s recent promotion to the Premier League could provide him with ample first-team opportunities. On the other hand, Crystal Palace has a reputation for nurturing young forwards, which could be an attractive prospect for his development.

Everton, being arguably the largest club of the three, might also influence Philogene’s choice towards Goodison Park.

As fans eagerly await Philogene’s decision, the transfer speculation continues to build.
