BamaCentral’s Alabama beat writers come together to discuss topics related to the Crimson Tide and college sports. In this installment, staff writers Blake Byler and Katie Windham delve into which Alabama football players could have breakout seasons in 2024.

Breakout players are those who start the season relatively unknown but become prominent through their performances. With the coaching transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer and significant roster changes due to the transfer portal, many of Alabama’s 2024 starters haven’t played major roles before.

On offense, several players fit this description. For instance, Alabama’s leading receiver, Kobe Prentice, had only 314 receiving yards last season. However, the team is not lacking in talent.

The backfield features Jam Miller and Justice Haynes, while wide receivers Prentice and Kendrick Law are entering their third years in the program, having previously been behind older players.

As fall camp approaches, the anticipation builds to see which players will emerge as the standout performers for the 2024 season.
