Everton and Manchester United are reportedly among several clubs interested in signing Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios, following his impressive performances for Colombia at the Copa America.

The 24-year-old played a key role in Colombia’s journey to the tournament final, catching the attention of Premier League clubs. Everton is particularly keen on Rios as a potential replacement for Amadou Onana, who recently joined Aston Villa for £50 million.

Palmeiras, who signed Rios in March 2023, are asking for around £12 million for the player. Despite the interest from multiple clubs, including West Ham and Leicester City, Everton may need to act quickly to secure his signature.

The Toffees have already been active in the transfer market, signing several players while offloading others, but manager Sean Dyche has prioritized finding a new midfielder to bolster the squad.

Everton is also exploring potential sales for Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, and Neal Maupay, as financial constraints could impact further signings.

Additionally, the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park remains uncertain, with the striker attracting interest from other Premier League clubs as he enters the final year of his contract.
