Everton has endured a challenging pre-season, winning just one game as they prepare to fight relegation and climb the Premier League table.

Despite some disheartening results, including a 3-0 loss to Coventry City, Everton secured a 3-0 win against Preston North End, offering a glimmer of hope. As the Toffees look to strengthen their squad, they have set their sights on AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze.

The Nigerian winger, who had a difficult debut season at Milan, could be available for £38-42 million. Everton leads the race to sign him, with other Premier League clubs also showing interest.

Chukwueze’s style resembles that of Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, characterized by his quick feet, direct approach, and ability to take on defenders. His creative passing and ball-carrying stats highlight his potential to complement Everton’s striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

If the deal goes through, Chukwueze could form a potent partnership with Calvert-Lewin, revitalizing Everton’s attack and helping the team push for better results in the upcoming season.
