Nottingham Forest’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, has reportedly shown interest in bringing Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, to work across his various football clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos, and Rio Ave.

Edu has been instrumental in Arsenal’s resurgence under Mikel Arteta, helping to elevate the Gunners into serious Premier League title contenders. This has caught the attention of Marinakis, who appears keen on leveraging Edu’s expertise to benefit his football enterprises.

However, in an interview with Brazilian newspaper Estadao earlier this summer, Edu addressed his future plans. He expressed contentment with his current role at Arsenal, stating that he’s living a dream and is not considering a return to Brazil or an exit from the Premier League at this time.

Edu emphasized that while the possibility of moving on in the future cannot be entirely ruled out, his focus remains on continuing his work at Arsenal, where he aims to achieve more, specifically mentioning his desire to win the Premier League as a director.

This response seemingly cools the speculation surrounding his potential move to Nottingham Forest, although the allure of a new challenge under a prominent football owner like Marinakis could still pose an interesting proposition in the future. For now, Edu’s commitment to Arsenal remains strong, suggesting that any departure is unlikely in the near term.
