With the Premier League season fast approaching, Nottingham Forest is still looking to bolster its squad despite already making six new signings.

Under the leadership of Nuno Espirito Santo, the club has been very active in the transfer market, eager to improve on last season’s disappointing performance. Forest’s latest target is Porto’s Brazilian winger, Galeno.

According to reports, the club recently had a bid for Galeno rejected, with Porto valuing the player at over £30 million. However, Forest is reportedly considering making an improved offer to secure his services.

Galeno’s potential arrival could lead to further changes within the squad. Nottingham Forest already has a number of attacking options, including recent signings and existing talents like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antony Elanga.

Given the substantial fee involved, it’s likely that Galeno would be brought in as a key player, which might lead to one of the current wingers leaving the club. Newcastle United has shown interest in Elanga, which could open the door for his departure if Forest succeeds in acquiring Galeno.

The next few weeks could be crucial as Forest continues to negotiate and strategize before the transfer window closes.
