Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest are both vying for the signing of FC Porto’s Galeno, as the two Premier League clubs look to strengthen their squads.
Nottingham Forest, fresh off their acquisition of Jota Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes, have opened talks with Porto about bringing in the Brazilian forward.

Forest’s interest in Galeno comes after facing difficulties in securing a deal for Ramon Sosa from CA Talleres. Despite being engaged in discussions, no official bid has been made by Forest yet.
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers have also entered the fray following the imminent departure of their star player Pedro Neto to Chelsea for a reported £54 million. Wolves, familiar with the Portuguese market, are considering Galeno as a top candidate to replace Neto.
Galeno, who recently extended his contract with Porto, has a £51 million release clause, which could prove to be a stumbling block for both clubs.
He had an impressive season with Porto, scoring 16 goals and providing 12 assists, which earned him a call-up to the Brazilian national team. His performances, including a notable showing in the Champions League, have made him a sought-after player.
