Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has quickly made a name for himself, despite his limited playtime in his rookie season.

ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky recently placed Richardson in the Top 10 of two critical quarterback traits: arm strength and rushing ability.

Richardson, known for his powerful arm, was ranked 8th in arm strength, trailing quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Orlovsky cited Richardson’s impressive throw to Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox as evidence of his arm’s power. However, the analyst believes Richardson’s arm strength could potentially be ranked higher, especially when compared to older quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers.

Richardson also secured 3rd place in rushing ability, behind only Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. His early performances before a season-ending shoulder injury demonstrated his potential, with an average of 5.4 yards per carry and four rushing touchdowns in four games. As Richardson continues to develop, his rankings in these categories—and possibly others—could rise, especially as veteran quarterbacks age.
