Brentford has turned down an offer from Nottingham Forest for their attacker Yoane Wissa, as reported by Sky Sports News.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers, under the guidance of Gary O’Neil, are closely monitoring the situation, having expressed interest in the player. O’Neil is eager to bolster his squad following Wolves’ disappointing start to the Premier League season, which saw them lose their first two matches.

The departure of Pedro Neto to Chelsea for a substantial fee has left Wolves with a pressing need to bring in a new winger.

Wissa, known for his versatility and attacking prowess, has caught O’Neil’s eye as a potential key addition to Molineux this summer. Despite Forest’s bid of £15 million, Brentford remains firm in their stance, unwilling to part with a player who has become integral to Thomas Frank’s team since his arrival in 2021.

Wissa has made over 100 appearances for Brentford, solidifying his role in the squad. The rejection of Forest’s offer raises questions about whether they will return with an improved bid, while Wolves continue to keep a close watch, potentially ready to step in if the situation evolves further.
