Nottingham Forest has had a more strategic approach to recruitment this summer, but challenges remain as the transfer deadline looms.

With the club adding nine new players, the focus is shifting to offloading those who haven’t seen much action. Among the players Nottingham Forest aims to move before Friday’s deadline are goalkeeper Matt Turner, who joined last year for £10 million but has since fallen to third choice and is eager for regular play.

Josh Bowler, who hasn’t yet featured in a competitive match for Forest, is drawing interest from Preston. Similarly, Hwang Ui-jo, another player who has yet to make a senior appearance for the club, is also on the transfer list. Lastly, Emmanuel Dennis, who initially seemed to have a chance under Nuno Espirito Santo, is now available for transfer as well.

The club is working against the clock to avoid a surplus of unused players, aiming to ensure a streamlined squad by offloading these four before the transfer window closes. A successful sale of these players would mark a positive end to their transfer dealings, irrespective of additional signings.
