Cavan Biggio’s unpredictable 2024 season took another turn as he made his debut for the Atlanta Braves, marking his fourth team this year.

The utility player began the season with the Toronto Blue Jays but was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 12, where his performance over 30 games (.192 average, 10 RBI, 3 HR) led to his release in early August. Biggio’s brief stint with the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A affiliate, the Sacramento River Cats, followed, where he struggled, slashing .163/.413/.326.

On September 7, the Braves acquired Biggio in exchange for cash considerations, and after only one game with their Triple-A team, he was called up to the majors.

Speaking on his move to Atlanta, Biggio expressed admiration for the Braves organization, stating, “I have always admired this organization.” However, due to his late-season signing, Biggio is ineligible for postseason play.

Now, the question remains whether Biggio can rekindle his form from 2019 and 2023, using his versatility to secure a role within the Braves’ lineup as the regular season winds down.
