Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. has resolved legal issues following his arrest in August on domestic violence charges.
On Thursday, Hall entered a no contest plea to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct in Avon, Ohio. The court handed him a suspended 30-day jail sentence, two years of probation, and a $250 fine.
During the hearing, Hall informed the judge that he is now undergoing counseling in response to the incident with his fiancée, who had recently filed to have a protection order against him removed.
Following the initial charges, the NFL placed Hall on the Commissioner’s Exempt list, which has kept him on paid leave. Now that the case is settled, the NFL could potentially take further disciplinary action under its Personal Conduct Policy.
Hall’s legal resolution may allow for league discipline to be determined in the coming weeks, as his status with the Browns remains uncertain pending the NFL’s next move.
