NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has officially become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, securing a 5% stake after NFL owners approved the sale.
Although Brady’s ownership does not come with decision-making power, Raiders’ owner Mark Davis has made it clear that Brady will still have a voice in football operations.
Raiders’ head coach Antonio Pierce expressed enthusiasm about Brady’s involvement, calling it a valuable opportunity for the organization. Speaking at a press conference, Pierce remarked:
“I have the ultimate respect for Tom Brady. He’s a pro’s pro. He’s been a grinder—his whole life has been hard and challenged. Then we look at the end result and see the championships.” Pierce added, “I’m really proud that he’s within our organization as somebody I can talk to and bounce things off of. It’s good.”
Brady has already been present around team facilities, though his primary influence may be in the Raiders’ preparations for the 2025 NFL Draft, where they are likely to target a quarterback given their current top-10 pick position. However, uncertainty remains about Pierce’s future as head coach, with many speculating that if the season underperforms, the team could undergo another leadership overhaul next year.
Brady’s entry into ownership marks a new chapter for the Raiders as they seek stability and long-term success under his partial involvement.
