Alabama wide receiver Cole Adams sustained a lower-body injury during the Crimson Tide’s 34-17 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The injury occurred in the first quarter when Adams was hit from behind while attempting to screen block for tight end C.J. Dipree during a pass play.
Adams, originally from Oklahoma, had to be assisted off the field by Alabama’s medical staff and did not return for the remainder of the game.
Following the match, Alabama offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer provided an update on Adams’ condition.
“We’ll do more evaluation, but it feels like it’s gonna be something that might be a little bit of time where he’ll be missed,” DeBoer said. “We’ll probably have more on Monday with that, but that’s what it feels like right now.”
Adams has been a reliable contributor this season, registering six receptions for 94 yards and playing a crucial role in special teams. His potential absence could affect the team’s depth as Alabama heads into key matchups.
