Manchester United are set to decide on ex Chelsea star’s Future as club plans squad overhaul in the summer.
One year following Mason Mount’s £55 million move from Chelsea, Manchester United purportedly have no intention of parting ways with the midfielder.
Mount, beset by injuries and a lackluster performance since his arrival at Manchester United, is anticipated to remain with the club, as reported by GIVEMESPORT.
Throughout the season, the 25-year-old has been plagued by injuries, sidelining him since November, marking a disappointing debut season at Old Trafford following his transfer from Chelsea.
His contribution on the field has been meager, managing only one assist in 12 appearances across various competitions, with the sole contribution occurring in the Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace. In eight Premier League fixtures, he has failed to make any significant impact.
Despite being deployed in multiple midfield roles, Mount has struggled to find his footing at Old Trafford. However, with the recent acquisition of a quarter of the team by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, promising changes are on the horizon for Manchester United’s operations, though Mount is unlikely to be among the high-profile players up for sale during the impending squad overhaul.
There remains hope that Mount, an England international, will eventually prove to be a valuable asset to the team, securing his future at the club for the foreseeable future.
With 137 Premier League appearances under his belt, Mount has established himself as a creative force in midfield, amassing 27 goals and providing 24 assists—a testament to his potential to flourish in his preferred role on the pitch.
