Barca will sanction the sale of three defenders in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

FC Barcelona is poised to offload some of its central defenders during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The team boasts a surplus of talented players in this position, compounded by the return of three loaned-out individuals.

Eric Garcia, Clément Lenglet, and Chadi Riad are all potential departures, as the club focuses on Ronald Araujo and Pau Cubarsí as integral components of its future defensive setup.

Garcia’s impressive loan stint with Girona FC may attract suitors, including Girona themselves, who could make his move permanent with a suitable offer.

Lenglet faces the possibility of being either sold or loaned out again due to his high salary demands. Currently on loan at Aston Villa after a previous spell with Tottenham Hotspur, his future at Barcelona remains uncertain.

Riad, a product of the club’s academy, has showcased promise while on loan at Real Betis. Barcelona may reluctantly consider selling the 20-year-old Moroccan to alleviate financial constraints, despite their reluctance to part ways with him.

In addition to these options, there are Andreas Christensen, Jules Koundé, and Íñigo Martínez.

However, it is believed that none of them are inclined to leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

As FC Barcelona navigates its roster adjustments, the focus remains on optimizing the defensive lineup while balancing financial considerations and player preferences.
