In their first offseason with the Crimson Tide, Coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic have excelled in recruiting, assembling an impressive 2025 class.
This group, regarded as one of the nation’s best, features five standout offensive linemen.
Headlining the class is 5-star tackle Ty Haywood, whose physical attributes and skill set suggest a future in the NFL. Haywood follows a lineage of successful Alabama tackles under Coach Nick Saban, including Andre Smith, DJ Fluker, Jonah Williams, and most recently JC Latham. Rising sophomore Kadyn Proctor is poised to be next, followed by Haywood.
The class also includes Michael Carroll and Jackson Lloyd, both top-100 players according to On3. Carroll is rated as the top interior offensive lineman and a 5-star recruit, while Lloyd is a highly-ranked tackle prospect. Together, they could form a formidable tackle duo for Alabama.

Rounding out the class are in-state recruits 4-star Micah DeBose and 3-star Mal Waldrep, both of whom hold significant potential. DeBose, from Mobile, is particularly noted for his talent, being a top-100 player by Rivals and ESPN.
This 2025 class is being compared to some of the best offensive line groups in Alabama’s history, including the strong 2023 and 2021 classes, which featured numerous top recruits.
However, with the depth and talent present, the 2025 class may be the most impressive yet, potentially setting a new standard for Alabama’s offensive line recruits. As always, the true measure of this class will be seen on the field and in their development over the coming years.
