Former Liverpool loanee Arthur Melo is on the brink of a new chapter in his career, with recent updates indicating that he will leave Juventus this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder, who had a brief and uneventful stint at Anfield, is being courted by multiple clubs, including Everton.

Arthur joined Liverpool on a season-long loan from Juventus in the summer of 2022. However, his time at Anfield was marred by injuries, limiting him to just one appearance—a 13-minute cameo against Napoli in the Champions League. He did not feature in the Premier League at all due to a surgery-requiring injury.

Following his short-lived Liverpool tenure, Arthur returned to Juventus, only to be loaned out to Fiorentina for the 2023 season. During his time with Fiorentina, he made 46 appearances across all competitions and played a significant role in helping the team reach the Europa Conference League final.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Arthur’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has confirmed that the midfielder is not in Juventus’ future plans.

“We are talking to several clubs about Arthur because he will leave Juventus; they are not counting on him,” Pastorello told Rai.

This statement underscores the likelihood of Arthur moving on from the Serie A giants.

Arthur has also expressed a desire to return to the Premier League. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, he stated:

“I’d like to have another shot in the Premier League. It’s a league I like a lot and feel I was unlucky there with the injury I picked up. Working with Jurgen Klopp and his staff was a positive experience, and I want another opportunity.”

Arthur’s potential move to Everton has generated significant interest. If a deal materializes, it would mark his second attempt at establishing himself in English football. The midfielder joined Juventus from Barcelona in 2020 but has made only 63 appearances for the club over four years, spending the last two seasons on loan.

As Arthur seeks to solidify his future, his link to Everton adds an intriguing subplot to the ongoing transfer saga. Whether he will don the Toffees’ blue remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Arthur Melo is ready for a fresh start away from Juventus.
