A recent report from Spanish outlet SPORT publication suggests that three Premier League giants are eyeing the 25-year-old French defender, potentially making a move during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Barcelona, looking to bolster their finances, is prioritizing the sale of the player alongside Brazilian winger Raphinha.

Among these suitors, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool are considering concrete proposals for the defender. For Chelsea, the need for a quality central defender is pressing, especially with Thiago Silva nearing the end of his career.

Kounde’s impressive performances in La Liga with Barcelona and Sevilla, coupled with his versatility to play as a full-back, make him an attractive prospect for the Blues.

Manchester United, seeking a partner for Lisandro Martinez, sees Kounde as a fitting addition to bolster their defensive line alongside players like Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. His proven quality suggests he could excel at a top-tier club, potentially strengthening United’s defensive stability.

At Liverpool, Kounde emerges as a potential replacement for the departing Joel Matip. With Matip’s contract set to expire in the summer, Liverpool aims to fortify their defensive options. The allure of joining Anfield and reuniting with compatriot Ibrahima Konate could entice Kounde, offering him the opportunity to contribute to Liverpool’s defensive depth.

In essence, Kounde’s skill set and experience make him a sought-after asset for these Premier League contenders, each recognizing his potential to address their defensive needs and elevate their squads for future success.
