The Cleveland Browns made several roster adjustments on Monday, bringing in three new players while letting go of four others.
The team signed linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle, cornerback Faion Hicks, and safety Chase Williams. Bouyer-Randle, an undrafted free agent in 2023, spent time on the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders during his rookie season. Hicks, originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2022, appeared in two games as a rookie and was part of the New Orleans Saints practice squad last season.
He had a brief stint with the Browns earlier this month before being re-signed following his release. Williams, a rookie safety from San Jose State, earned his spot after a tryout during the Browns’ rookie minicamp.
In addition to these signings, the Browns waived three players and terminated the contract of a fourth. Cornerback Vincent Gray, who suffered a groin injury in Saturday’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, was waived with an injury designation.
Defensive end Marcus Haynes and long snapper Rex Sunahara, both recent additions to the team, were also waived.
Running back John Kelly Jr., a member of the Browns’ practice squad since 2020, had his contract terminated. Kelly played in Saturday’s preseason game, recording four carries for 15 yards and a fumble.
