Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is unfazed by the loss of key defensive players like Kamari Lassiter, Javon Bullard, and Tykee Smith as the Bulldogs gear up for their season opener against Clemson.
Beck expressed strong confidence in the defense during a recent interview, crediting the team’s preparation and talent.
“Our defense has done an unbelievable job,” Beck stated, acknowledging the work of the coaching staff in preparing the players for each week. He emphasized that while Georgia’s talented offense poses a challenge in practice, the defense is well-equipped to handle the competition. Beck believes the unit is capable of achieving “really special things” this season.
The Bulldogs, currently ranked No. 1 in the preseason polls, will be put to the test immediately as they face No. 14 Clemson.
Safety Malaki Starks, another key player, echoed Beck’s optimism, noting the team’s depth and commitment. “We’ve got a bunch of talent, a bunch of guys who want to be here,” Starks remarked, stressing the importance of maintaining focus and hard work.
Both Beck and Starks are expected to play crucial roles in leading Georgia to another successful season.
