Chelsea fans are now turning their frustration at coach Mauricio Pochettino after Brentford’s stalmate.

Chelsea supporters vented their frustrations towards Mauricio Pochettino as they witnessed their team struggle to a 2-2 draw against local rivals Brentford in west London. The match started with promise for Chelsea as Nicolas Jackson scored with a powerful header, but their lead was short-lived as Mads Roerslev equalized for Brentford.

Yoane Wissa then stunned the away fans with an impressive overhead kick, prompting chants for former manager Jose Mourinho and calls for Pochettino’s dismissal. However, Chelsea salvaged a point on Pochettino’s 52nd birthday thanks to Axel Disasi’s late equalizer.

Jackson’s performance encapsulated the inconsistency of his debut season leading Chelsea’s attack. Despite moments of promise, such as a skillful run into Brentford’s area and an opportunity to score after rounding the goalkeeper, Jackson’s finishing lacked precision, exemplified by an undercooked attempt cleared off the line by Mathias Jorgensen. Nonetheless, he redeemed himself with a powerful header to break the deadlock before halftime.

Pochettino lamented Chelsea’s injury woes before the match, but Brentford faced their own crisis with several key players sidelined, including their entire back four. Despite these setbacks, Brentford displayed resilience, epitomized by Roerslev’s equalizer early in the second half.

Chelsea had their chances, notably a missed opportunity by Cole Palmer, but Brentford seemed poised for victory when Wissa acrobatically scored. Yet, Disasi’s late header secured a crucial point for Pochettino’s side.

The match underscored the challenges faced by both teams due to injuries, yet highlighted their determination to compete. Chelsea’s fans expressed dissatisfaction with Pochettino, while Brentford’s depleted squad showcased their resilience in securing a draw against their local rivals.
