Chelsea could renew interest in last summer transfer target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia whose agent Mamuka Jugeli has told a news outlet that the Napoli winger is open to a move in the summer.

Jugeli, representing the 23-year-old, informed La Gazzetta dello Sport that his client might depart Napoli in the upcoming summer.

Since joining Serie A in 2022, Kvaratskhelia has excelled as an attacker, tallying nine goals and four assists in 25 games this season.

In the previous season, the Georgian contributed to 22 goals in 34 matches as Napoli clinched the Serie A title.

In December, journalist Dean Jones noted that Kvaratskhelia isn’t eager to transfer to the Premier League.

Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Jugeli, is hinting at the possibility of a summer transfer, which could provide a positive opportunity for Chelsea.

He said:

“As regards [to] the future, we are talking with the club, we will see what will happen. He will leave if another club presents an offer that the management will not be able to refuse.

“I cannot talk about a specific amount, these are [Aurelio] De Laurentiis’ evaluations. I protect the contract and Khvicha’s work. Everything will be clear at the end of May.”

Kvaratskhelia could significantly strengthen Mauricio Pochettino’s team’s attack, potentially surpassing players like Mykhailo Mudryk based on performance statistics.

Despite scoring only three goals in the Premier League this season, the Ukrainian hasn’t made a significant impact yet. However, despite his agent suggesting a summer departure from Napoli, a transfer to Chelsea seems improbable.

Currently, Chelsea seems more inclined towards pursuing Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, who is heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
