In the latest update from renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has initiated talks with RB Leipzig striker  Benjamin Sesko, signaling the start of a competitive transfer race.

Romano reports that Chelsea, alongside Manchester United and Arsenal, has approached Sesko since March/April, as the striker contemplates his future.

Sesko, currently thriving at RB Leipzig, has been offered a lucrative contract renewal by his club. However, he is also considering moving abroad, with Premier League giants showing keen interest.

Sesko is expected to take a few more days to make his decision, as he weighs his options amidst increasing speculation.

Despite the strong interest from England, Sesko has already declined a substantial €30 million net salary offer from a Saudi Arabian club, indicating his preference for European football.

The striker’s decision is anticipated soon, with the transfer battle set to intensify.

For Chelsea, signing Sesko would align perfectly with their tactical needs. The club envisions him as a capable leader on the field, possessing the skills to adapt to their possession-based play style.

However, Chelsea faces stiff competition from Arsenal and Manchester United, complicating their pursuit.

Unlike previous seasons, Chelsea can no longer confidently outbid their rivals or guarantee a superior chance of winning trophies, making their proposition less assured.

As the clubs await Sesko’s decision, the transfer saga highlights the shifting dynamics in Premier League football.

Chelsea’s fans are hopeful but cautious, understanding the complexities involved. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether Chelsea can secure Sesko’s signature amidst fierce competition.
