The Kansas City Chiefs have solidified their commitment to one of the NFL’s premier offensive linemen, Creed Humphrey, by agreeing to a substantial contract extension.
The 25-year-old center, who was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has earned a reputation as one of the league’s top pass blockers, evidenced by his remarkable 98.1% pass block win rate since entering the league. This impressive performance has been crucial for the Chiefs, especially given their pass-heavy offense and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The new deal, which extends through 2028, is valued at $72 million over four years, with a staggering $50 million guaranteed.
This extension not only makes Humphrey the highest-paid center in NFL history but also underscores the Chiefs’ intention to keep their offensive line robust for the foreseeable future. The contract was negotiated by Ken Sarnoff and Andy Simms of the 1 of 1 Agency, further cementing Humphrey’s position as an essential component of the Chiefs’ success.
