Bleacher Report has predicted that Dak Prescott may leave the Dallas Cowboys and join the Las Vegas Raiders next season if the Cowboys allow him to enter free agency.

Prescott, currently in the final year of his contract with Dallas, has not yet been offered an extension, even as other top quarterbacks around the league have secured lucrative deals. Bleacher Report characterized the Cowboys’ hesitation as a “dangerous game” and suggested that Prescott would likely test the open market if no extension is offered.

The Raiders are seen as a strong potential landing spot for Prescott, especially given their solid offensive lineup, which includes stars like Davante Adams, Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and Michael Mayer.

The team, however, still lacks a long-term solution at quarterback, with Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew currently competing for the starting role this season.

Prescott’s market value is projected to be around $220.3 million over four years, translating to an average annual salary of $55.099 million. This would place him slightly ahead of Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love, who recently signed a similar deal.

Despite the contract uncertainty, Prescott has reported to training camp without making his situation a major issue. He has also indicated that he is open to the possibility of playing for another team if necessary, a mindset shaped by his understanding of the NFL’s business nature.

The Cowboys are set to begin their season on September 8 against the Cleveland Browns.
