Novak Djokovic is preparing for a highly anticipated showdown with Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

After suffering a defeat at Wimbledon, where Alcaraz dominated the match to claim a straight-set victory, Djokovic is determined to turn the tables. The Serbian tennis star missed out on a record-tying eighth Wimbledon title but sees the upcoming final as an opportunity for redemption.

Djokovic, who is still seeking his first Olympic gold medal, is eager to make a statement in this final. He acknowledged the tough loss at Wimbledon but expressed confidence in his improved form on the clay courts of Paris.

Having already secured a medal, Djokovic emphasized that he has “nothing to lose” and is fully focused on winning the gold.

The 37-year-old, who only has an Olympic bronze from the 2008 Beijing Games, admitted the pressure of reaching his first Olympic final. Despite the nerves, Djokovic is determined to seize this chance to add the elusive Olympic gold to his storied career, and the final against Alcaraz presents the perfect stage for his comeback.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, enters the match as the in-form player, having recently won two Grand Slam titles. A victory in Paris would further cement Alcaraz’s status as one of the sport’s rising stars.
