Siran Neal, recently acquired by the Miami Dolphins, is wasting no time proving his worth after being released by the Buffalo Bills.

In his debut game with the Dolphins, Neal made an immediate impact, starting with a key play on the opening kickoff. He executed an open-field tackle that kept the Atlanta Falcons’ returner inside the 25-yard line, showing his readiness to adapt to the new kickoff rules. Neal’s ability to burst through blockers and make a critical tackle set the tone early.

Following a three-and-out by Miami’s offense, Neal continued to showcase his skills on defense. In the Falcons’ second series, Neal stripped the ball from a receiver and recovered the fumble on Atlanta’s side of the field, further solidifying his presence on the field.

Though Neal has spent most of his career as a special teams standout with the Bills since being drafted in 2018, he has never been a regular starter. Yet, the Dolphins saw potential where the Bills did not, particularly in strengthening a special teams unit that has struggled.

While the preseason is often seen as inconsequential, Neal’s performance against the Falcons is already making Miami fans optimistic about what he can bring to the team.

On the other hand, Buffalo might soon find themselves regretting their decision to let him go if Neal continues to deliver when it counts. With the regular season still ahead, Neal’s future contributions could prove pivotal for the Dolphins.
