Alabama’s football program is set to dominate where it matters most, according to ESPN’s preseason All-American selections, which named five Crimson Tide players to its first and second teams.

This recognition highlights Alabama’s exceptional talent along the lines of scrimmage and on special teams, areas that will likely serve as the backbone of the team’s success in the upcoming season.

Junior offensive guard Tyler Booker and redshirt sophomore center Parker Brailsford were both named to the first team, underscoring the strength of Alabama’s interior offensive line.

This formidable duo, along with redshirt junior guard Jaeden Roberts and sophomore tackle Kadyn Proctor, is expected to make the Crimson Tide’s offensive line one of the best in college football.

Defensively, redshirt junior inside linebacker Deontae Lawson earned a spot on the second team, reflecting the depth and talent of Alabama’s linebacker corps.

Lawson, along with fellow returnees Jihaad Campbell and Justin Jefferson, will lead a unit poised to be one of the most formidable in years.

Special teams are also a strong point for Alabama, with kicker Graham Nicholson and punter James Burnip receiving first and second-team honors, respectively.

These units, along with a deep and experienced defensive line, give Alabama a solid foundation as they enter the 2024 season. While there may be questions about their performance at wide receiver and cornerback, the Tide’s dominance in the trenches positions them well for a successful campaign.
