Everton faces a pressing decision regarding the future of striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, as Chelsea and Arsenal express interest in the player.

With Calvert-Lewin entering the final year of his contract, Everton is reportedly demanding around £25 million for the forward, despite his recent struggles with form and injuries. Once considered one of England’s top strikers, Calvert-Lewin’s performance has significantly declined, leading to a drop in his market value.

Chelsea, after failing to secure deals for Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen, might turn to Calvert-Lewin as a potential solution for their striker woes. Arsenal has also been linked to the Everton forward, though a move to the Emirates appears less likely.

To offset the potential loss of Calvert-Lewin, Everton has considered acquiring Chelsea’s David Datro Fofana, who impressed during his loan spell at Burnley.

Fofana, at 21, boasts a promising future with a better goal-conversion rate than Calvert-Lewin’s. If the deal goes through, it could signify a strategic shift for Everton, moving away from reliance on Calvert-Lewin’s physical presence to Fofana’s finishing abilities, potentially rejuvenating their attacking options.
