Reports from Turkish media suggest that Galatasaray is considering a replacement for their central defender, Davinson Sanchez, due to significant interest from Everton.
The Colombian international has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League club, and an offer from Everton has been reported.
According to Sporx, Galatasaray is now looking at FC Nordsjælland’s defender, Adamo Nagalo, as a potential successor to Sanchez. Initially, the Turkish Super Lig champions did not plan to recruit a central defender this summer. However, Everton’s strong interest has prompted them to shift their focus towards Nagalo.
Galatasaray is reportedly open to negotiating Sanchez’s departure if they receive a bid of €25 million. So far, Everton has offered €18 million, which was declined by the Turkish side. The ball is now in Everton’s court to increase their bid to meet Galatasaray’s valuation.
Sanchez, who transferred from Tottenham to Galatasaray last summer, had a solid season with 32 appearances and three goals. His contract with Galatasaray runs until June 2027. The potential move could see him returning to the Premier League, adding strength to Everton’s defensive lineup.
