The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an intense single-elimination competition with a $1 million prize.
The 2024 edition featured 64 teams competing over 17 days. Among the participants was Jared Sullinger, a familiar name to Boston Celtics fans, who played a pivotal role for Carmen’s Crew, a team composed of Ohio State alumni.
Sullinger, who was the Celtics’ 21st overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, led Carmen’s Crew to victory, clinching the championship with a game-winning shot that earned him the TBT 2024 MVP honors.
His journey has seen him play across various leagues, including a stint with the Toronto Raptors, time in China, and most recently, with Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico’s BSN league.
After a decade-long search for a championship, Sullinger’s persistence paid off, culminating in this triumph with Carmen’s Crew in the TBT, a victory he described as “sweet.”
