Leeds United have encountered challenges this season, particularly against promotion contenders.

Draws with Norwich, West Bromwich Albion, and Sunderland, along with a loss to Burnley, have hampered their bid for automatic promotion. Despite sitting fifth in the Championship at the international break, with four wins, four draws, and one loss from nine matches, concerns remain about the team’s ability to consistently secure wins.

Leeds’ form has been inconsistent since their last three-game winning streak in March, winning only seven of their past 20 matches. With club action resuming, they face another promotion rival, Sheffield United, on October 18 at Elland Road—a crucial match that could shape Daniel Farke’s future.

David Norris, speaking to MOT Leeds News, warned that Farke’s position could be in jeopardy if the team doesn’t find consistency soon.

“The problem for Daniel Farke is that he can’t go five or six games without a win; the pressure is really on,” Norris explained.

He also noted that West Brom’s Carlos Corberan, formerly an assistant at Leeds, remains a potential managerial target, adding:

“Any bad run, and I do think Leeds could push the button, even if it’s this side of Christmas.”

A victory against Sheffield United could ease tensions, but another disappointing result may trigger discontent among supporters and heighten speculation about Farke’s future.
