In a recent discussion, Roger Federer highlighted the significant impact his wife, Mirka, has had on his career.

Meeting at the Sydney Olympics before his rise to fame, Mirka, a former tennis player, became a cornerstone of Federer’s success both personally and professionally. Since 2009, the couple has lived in Basel, raising four children together.

Federer expressed deep admiration for Mirka, emphasizing her vital role in managing their family and supporting him through challenging times. He credits her for instilling discipline and motivation, stating:

“She taught me what discipline is because it is extremely strict; I needed to be encouraged in this area.”

He also praised her logistical skills, which allowed him to focus on his career while ensuring their family functioned smoothly.

Mats Wilander On the big 3 Strengths/ Weaknesses

In a separate interview with Eurosport, seven-time Grand Slam champion Mats Wilander discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the Big 3—Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Wilander noted that while Federer and Nadal exhibit visible greatness in their technique and style, Federer does have some weaknesses.

He contrasted this with Djokovic, whom he described as remarkably well-rounded with no clear vulnerabilities, saying, “Djokovic doesn’t really have a weakness.”

As Wimbledon approaches, all eyes are on Djokovic, who recently underwent surgery but is determined to compete.

Despite doubts earlier in the year, experts like Patrick McEnroe have commented on Djokovic’s potential to claim another major title, highlighting the upcoming challenges and possible opponents he may face.

With the Big 3 continuously pushing boundaries and breaking records, the tennis world remains captivated by their intense rivalry and remarkable achievements.
