Nottingham Forest is on the brink of securing a deal for Talleres winger Ramon Sosa, with the Paraguayan international expected to travel to England on Wednesday, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Negotiations between the Premier League club and Talleres have been intense, with the deal nearly falling apart when discrepancies emerged between the verbal agreement and the contract documents. However, the two sides have now reached an agreement, with Forest set to pay a base fee of €11.7 million, plus an additional €5 million in potential add-ons.

The deal also includes a 15% sell-on clause for Talleres. Sosa, who represented Paraguay in the recent Copa America, will undergo a medical examination upon arrival. His addition will provide Forest’s head coach, Nuno, with another attacking option as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League season.

The club is eager to finalize the transfer promptly.
