Gabby Agbonlahor says there's only one world class player at Arsenal.

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has stirred the pot in the ongoing discourse surrounding Arsenal’s standout performers, asserting that William Saliba, not Martin Odegaard or Bukayo Saka, holds the mantle as the club’s lone “world-class” talent.

Despite the pivotal roles played by skipper Odegaard and goal-scorer extraordinaire Saka in propelling the Gunners to the summit of the Premier League, Agbonlahor remains steadfast in his belief that Saliba is the true luminary among Mikel Arteta’s squad.

“I was having this debate with a taxi driver yesterday who was an Arsenal fan”.

“He said to me: ‘Which Arsenal player do you think is or will become world class?’
“The only one I could name was [William] Saliba.

“I said Odegaard and Saka are very, very good players but I wouldn’t say they are two players that would be on Real Madrid’s radar, whereas Saliba, I would”.

Saliba’s rise to prominence has been underscored by his integral role in fortifying Arsenal’s defensive line, forming a formidable partnership with Brazilian stalwart Gabriel at the heart of the backline.

The duo’s defensive prowess has seen Arsenal concede a mere 26 goals thus far, cementing their status as the Premier League’s most impenetrable defense.

The significance of Saliba’s fitness cannot be overstated, particularly in light of Arsenal’s previous title aspirations being derailed by his absence due to injury during the previous season’s run-in.

With the French defender now in prime condition and Arsenal’s relentless form propelling them towards a potential league triumph, Saliba stands on the cusp of clinching his inaugural major honor in professional football.

As Arsenal gear up for a pivotal clash against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming north London derby, the stakes have never been higher.

A victory for Arsenal would not only further their title ambitions but also deal a blow to Spurs’ aspirations of securing fourth place, intensifying the already fierce rivalry between the two clubs.

With the spotlight firmly fixed on Arsenal’s pursuit of Premier League glory, Saliba’s emergence as the linchpin of their title charge underscores the pivotal role he plays in their quest for success.
