Everton are reportedly weighing the option to make Jack Harrison’s loan from Leeds United a permanent deal.
Harrison, who spent last season on loan at Everton, rejoined the club on another loan last month just before returning to Leeds for pre-season training. Since rejoining, he has been training with Sean Dyche’s squad and is anticipated to play a significant role in the upcoming Premier League season, as Everton aims to improve from their 15th-place finish last year.
Everton’s transfer activities have also seen the addition of Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye, but further moves in the transfer market could affect Harrison’s status.
The club is reportedly interested in signing former Leeds player Kalvin Phillips, currently training with Manchester City after a challenging stint with West Ham United. A loan move for Phillips is being considered, alongside interest in Chelsea’s Armando Broja.
Premier League regulations restrict clubs to two loan signings at a time, prompting Everton to consider converting Harrison’s loan into a permanent transfer to free up a loan slot.

According to Give Me Sport, this move would benefit both Harrison, who desires a stable Premier League presence, and Leeds, who appear ready to part ways with several players who were on loan last season.
Leeds have already seen permanent departures of Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, and Robin Koch, with a deal for Rasmus Kristensen to join Eintracht Frankfurt nearing completion. Selling Harrison could provide Leeds with additional funds to reinvest in their squad under new manager Daniel Farke.
Additionally, Everton is reportedly interested in rekindling their pursuit of Wilfried Gnonto after an attempt to sign the Italy international last summer. However, Leeds are reluctant to let go of any more first-team players following the exits of Archie Gray and Glen Kamara.
Leeds-born Kalvin Phillips could benefit from a fresh start at Everton under Dyche, aiming to revive his career after an underwhelming period at Manchester City and a criticized loan spell at West Ham, which saw him lose his spot in the England squad.
