Steve Sarkisian is undoubtedly enjoying life as American football coach of the Texas Longhorns.

Not only did the Longhorns achieve a remarkable 12-win season culminating in a Sugar Bowl appearance, but they are also anticipated to be among the top teams in college football in 2024.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Texas is purportedly on the verge of ratifying a new contract extension for Sarkisian, elevating him to one of the highest-paid head coaches in college football.

The Texas Longhorns are Reportedly on the verge of approving a four-year contract extension for Steve Sarkisian, extending through the 2030 season.

While awaiting approval, Sarkisian’s new salary is anticipated to nearly double his 2023 earnings, exceeding $10 million annually, positioning him as one of college football’s highest-paid coaches in 2024.

 

This marks a significant increase from the initial $5.8 million projected for Sarkisian in 2024. Furthermore, his salary is slated to rise by $100,000 each year until 2030.

With a $300,000 signing bonus, Sarkisian is set to enjoy various premium benefits with the position, including 20 hours of private plane usage annually, two new cars from a dealership, tickets to sporting events, and a country club membership.

Additionally, he stands to gain various bonuses for advancing to championship stages, with a staggering $1.25 million for winning the College Football Playoff Championship.

 

While Sarkisian’s job offer presents lucrative terms, Texas is content with his performance, highlighted by a 25-14 record over three seasons.
