On Monday morning, significant news broke revealing that Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has secured an exciting NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) partnership with the widely popular energy drink brand, Celsius.

This announcement, initially reported by NBC’s lead college football and basketball insider Nicole Auerbach, highlights Milroe as part of a group of prominent collegiate athletes who have inked deals with Celsius.

Joining Milroe in this new venture are Michigan’s Donovan Edwards, Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, and Florida State’s DJ Uiagalelei.

Sidelines-Bama also confirmed this news on X (formerly known as Twitter), underscoring the growing importance of NIL deals in the current landscape of college athletics. Since the NIL rules came into effect on July 1, 2021, these agreements have become instrumental in promoting collegiate athletes, using their name, image, and likeness to strike lucrative deals.

For Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide, such partnerships are far from unusual. In fact, his predecessor, former Alabama QB Bryce Young, amassed a staggering $3.5 million in NIL deals with brands like CashApp, Subway, Logan’s Roadhouse, and BMW, according to On3.

Milroe’s partnership with Celsius not only solidifies his status as a rising star but also emphasizes the growing role of NIL deals in shaping the careers and opportunities for college athletes.
