Jon Rahm has solidified his participation in the 2025 Ryder Cup by entering the Andalucia Masters, his fourth DP World Tour event of the season.

This decision ensures Rahm retains his DP World Tour membership, which is crucial for maintaining eligibility to represent Europe at the Ryder Cup. Concerns had arisen after Rahm joined LIV Golf last year, as players must compete in four DP World Tour events annually to retain their card.

Rahm had missed several DP World Tour events earlier in the year, due in part to his commitment to LIV Golf and his wife Kelley’s pregnancy. His suspension and fines from the DP World Tour, for playing in conflicting LIV Golf events, also cast doubt on his eligibility.

At LIV Chicago, Rahm made his stance clear, stating:

“I’m not a big fan of the fines… I don’t plan to pay the fines, and we keep trying to have a discussion with them about how we can make this happen.”

Following an appeal of the sanctions, Rahm returned to DP World Tour play, narrowly losing to Angel Hidalgo in a playoff at the Spanish Open.

Now, with the Andalucia Masters confirmed, Rahm is on track to remain part of the European Ryder Cup team. Reflecting on his participation, Rahm said:

“I think it’s my duty to Spanish golf to be there… it would almost be doing not only me but Spanish golf a disservice by not letting me play.”
