In a remarkable display of power, Aaron Judge launched his 40th home run of the season during his first at-bat against the Toronto Blue Jays, solidifying his place among the all-time greats of the New York Yankees.

The towering two-run shot, which soared 477 feet into the left-field bleachers, not only led the Major Leagues but also marked Judge’s entry into an exclusive club.

He now stands alongside Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees to hit 40 or more home runs in at least three different seasons.

Judge’s homer, which came off Toronto right-hander Kevin Gausman, was the Yankees’ longest of the year and the third-longest of Judge’s career. It is also the second-longest in the Major Leagues this season, just one foot shy of Jorge Soler’s 478-foot blast at Coors Field.

With this latest achievement, Judge continues to build on a legacy that includes his 62-homer MVP season in 2022, where he broke Roger Maris’ American League single-season record.
